Abdulrafiu Asiru

Before entering the textile business, Abdulrafiu Asiru worked in transportation and later ventured into automobile trading.

He eventually turned to textile trading, specialising in quality fabrics including lace, Guinea and Ankara.

After his marriage, his wife introduced him to sewing accessories, which became another important direction for the business. After her passing, he continued carrying the business forward.

His son, Abdulgafar Opeyemi Abdulrafiu, joined him in managing the business after completing secondary school.

He is remembered as a hardworking, gentle and caring person who wanted the people around him to be alright. He valued trust, and did business with customers and partners on the strength of their relationships.

He believed that people eventually reap what they sow — that good actions bring good consequences, and bad actions bring bad ones. He was careful about making promises, and committed to keeping the ones he made.
